Welcome to the Bedhampton Pianoshop Blog!

We have been restoring and selling pianos since 1988. We specialise in restoring and reconditioning old pianos, both upright and grand. Our work ranges from minor servicing right through to complete overhauls and rebuilding projects which take many weeks to complete.

The aim of the blog is to post regular progress reports on ongoing restoration work, as well as updates on the current available stock and any new arrivals. Where possible these updates will be accompanied by photos to demonstrate the work that we do.

STEINWAY GRAND

We have had a lot of interest in the Steinway grand piano,so we are now deciding weather to let this piano go un-restored or to completely rebuild it

Well we have had another busy month with restorations .At the moment we are rebuilding a Grotrian Steinweg made in 1905,& we are nearing the point of restringing (see photo)
On the selling front we have seen Grands being sold as well as uprights.I have been busy on the buying side with the acquisition of a Bechstein model 9 upright along with a Grotrian Steinweg 125 model in ebony.I have also acquired an English overstrung piano 1930s hopkinson in mahogany. We have Finally completed work on the WELMAR baby grand and almost finished work on the German Geissler grand piano.
November looks to be a very busy month for us with lots of restoration in the pipeline.

If you have any queries please let me know

or why not visit our restoration pages to see what we can do for your piano?
