I hope you have forgiven me for opening the door and bursting into tears.The first sight of the restored piano was overwhelming:it was so beautiful,and it had been such a wreck when i first saw it.
It did have a wonderful tone even then,and i could see the beautiful flame figuring in the mahogany when you pointed it out,but it required a great deal of trust on my part when you said it would be a wonderful instrument when finished well it is, and Iam overjoyed with it,and proud to be able to fund its restoration.

The touch is marvelous - the repetition in the middle of the keyboard is excellent now,the tone is stunning and the dynamic range fully justifies Steinway's quaint brand name for these instruments. It is a real joy to play (something that can rarely be said of an upright, or indeed of many grands).

A very busy week we have had.

On going Restoration of a Steinway upright piano.....alongside a grotrian steinweg.as well as squeezing in a customer Bechstein for some updating.all the pianos early 1900s.

Now off for a rest over the jubilee weekend

Just arrived a Grotrian Steinweg upright piano in Rosewood case.
better photos soon.This is a stunning instrument to play,with an excellent tone.
Fully rebuilt and re polished in the 70s by Morley's of London.......Not played much since.

We have to do some minor restoration and re-regulate the action before sale.
The piano is complemented by a set of Ivory keys
